Get ready for your test
To ensure you're fully prepared for test day, make sure you've completed everything on the following checklist:
- Download the Guardian browser.
- Check if your computer meets the equipment requirements.
- Read the rules and requirements for your test.
- Have your government-issued ID ready.
- Have your OMPT login information memorised (username and password).
- Ensure all other applications and browsers are closed, and your operating system is updated to the latest version.

Test day
On test day, you will go through the five steps outlined below.
Step 1: Log into OMPT using the Guardian browser
Open the Guardian browser and log in to your OMPT profile.
Step 2: Go to ProctorU
From the home page, in the class "Test info & access", click on "Go to ProctorU".
Step 3: Authentication procedure
Your scheduled test will be available to start on the dashboard once the countdown time has been reached. Click on "Start Session" to start the authentication procedure. Then, follow the proctor's instructions.
Step 4: Start the OMPT test
Once the authentication is completed, the proctor will direct you to the test website. You will need to log in again, using your OMPT username and password. Then, click on the "Start" button in order to start your OMPT test.
❕ In case you get disconnected
In the event of disconnection, you can simply navigate to the test overview page and click on the "Reconnect with ProctorU" button. Do not click on this button if you are connected to your proctor. You may be signed out from the session.
If that happens, close the tab, log back into your OMPT profile, and click on the "Reconnect with ProctorU" button there.
It is the test-taker's responsibility to reconnect with Proctor.
Step 5: Submit the test
When you are ready to submit your test, go to the general overview by clicking on the overview button in the top left of your screen.
Click on the "Submit" button at the bottom left of the page.
After you have submitted your test, make sure to inform your proctor you have done so, via the chat option. Please show the camera that you have erased your notes and destroyed all papers one by one by ripping them into small pieces.
Once you submit your test, it will be reviewed by our in-house mathematicians. You will receive your results via email within 8 business days from the day after test submission. With fast grading, results are sent within 4 business days.
